Mango Unniyappam(Mambzham Unniyappam)


Ingredients:-
Well Ripe mango – 1 big
Wheat flour-1 cup
Sugar-1/2 cup
Coconut slices-1 tbsp
Sesame seed-1 tsp
Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Salt – a pinch

 Directions:-
·         Skin off the ripe mango and cut into medium pieces, make a smooth puree with sugar.
·         In a bowl take the flour ,coconut slices,sesame seed,cardamom powder and pour the mango puree into this mixture and mix well.Make a little thick batter.
·         Add a pinch of salt into the above batter and keep it aside for 40-60 minutes.
·         Heat unniyappam kadai on a medium heat. Sprinkle each mould with little oil.Pour batter in each mould cook on a low heat for 10-15 minutes till brown in color or cooked well and sides turn .
·         Flip them over with the help of stick and cook again for 5- 10 minutes.

Have with tea..

Ari Aracha Payasam(Aracha Payasam/Grind Rice Pudding/Rice Pudding)




Ingredients:-

Raw rice- ½ cup
Coconut grated -1/2 cup
Jaggery -1/2 kg
Salt-a pinch
Water -11/2 cup
Cardamom powder -1/4 tsp

Directions:-
·         Soak the rice for an hour, wash and grind it with ¼ cup coconut into smooth paste.
·         Boil jaggery with little water to make jiggery syrup.
·         Take a pan with 11/2 cup water and allow boiling.
·         When start to boil add the ground rice paste, pinch salt and stir continuously to avoid making lumps. Keep on medium heat.
·         Add jaggery syrup and grated coconut and bring to boil and remove from heat.
·         Sprinkle some cardamom powder and serve hot with rice.

I am giving this pudding to my little one from 4 month to till now.If the kid with less than one year just avoid grated coconut.
