Ingredients:-
Par boiled rice/Puzhukkalari-1 cup
Jaggery powder-1/4 cup
Coconut ,grated-1/2 ucp
Water-1 cup
Salt-a pinch
Directions:-
· Roast the rice till golden brown
· Take a pressure cooker, add roasted rice, 1 cup water and add a pinch salt. Pressure cook on medium heat for 2 whistles. Allow to cool
· Open lid and add powdered jaggery and grated coconut, mix well. Again put on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
Have with tea…
You don’t like sweet version. You can add enough salt (1 tsp) instead of jaggery powder and make salty upma.
