Cabbage Thoran/Upperi


Chopped cabbage - 2 cups

Grated coconut - 1/4 cup

Green chilli - 2 to 3 no. (chopped)

Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Urad dal - 1/2 tsp

Dried red chilli - 2 nos.(splitted)

Curry leaves - 2 strands



Ginger chopped - 1 tsp.


· Marinate chopped cabbage with salt and turmeric powder.Keep it for 10-15 minutes.

· Add oil to a pan crackle mustard seed add urad dal,dried red chilli curry leaves fry till urad dal become slightly brown.

· Then add cabbage with ginger and green chilli into this pan and cook till done.Finally add grated coconut.

Serve hot with rice...Enjoy
