Mussel (Kadukka/Kallummekkaya) Fry


Mussels shelled uncooked - 2 kg

red chili powder - 3 tsp

coriander powder - 1/2 tsp

pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

turmeric powder - 1/4 powder




  • First clean th mussel and then remove the meat from the shell using knife (or steam the mussels for 10-20 minutes,the meat is easily come out) and wash it properly.
  • Next marinate it with red chilli powder,pepper powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder & salt and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry both sides of the mussels in a medium flame till done.
